Here is a blog I recently posted on capture imaging photography.
This very special family came to our Studio in Port Stephens for a lovely family portrait photography shoot. Mum and Dad live in two separate homes and they wanted their beautiful images to remind the kinds of this special time in their life, as well as the fact that they are just one big family.
They had a ball on the day of the shoot and Zenith beach near Shoal Bay was the perfect back drop. I have chosen a few of my favourite shots of this family. I think all children are precious but I just could help but go “Awwwww” when I saw these kids with their parents.

My name is Brent and I’m a photographer from Port Stephens, Australia.
I’ve been planning this shoot for a few months, and finally the day arrived. Stormy afternoon at low tide, clouds, wind, and enough sand on the spit to cross over to Fingal Island. These photographs of port stephens took me over 4 hours to create. Anyone who has hiked over to the island would know. I was rained on more than once, and got lost, stumbled across a squatter hideout, but it was all worth the effort. Using my new 10 stop neutral density filter I could capture these images with shutter speeds around the 120 second mark….that’s how I get the cloud movement. I even spotted a few hump back whales slapping their tails just off the eastern side of Fingal Island. Do you like the b&w stormy shots of Fingal Lighthouse or the colour image of slime and burned trees? Read more on my main blog. Brent
